New Heavens and a New Earth

Did the demons make this happen, or were they caught off guard? It's possible it was an ambush. If it was the demon's doing, the Lord worked it for good because it spread news about Him. Either way, one lesson to be learned is that if evil seeks permission from the Lord, how much more should we who are His children?
What happened to them afterward? I pray that they departed into the abyss.
What did this communicate to the town's people? The authority of Christ.
To the man? The mercy of our Father.
To the disciples? They followed along the story and each one may have learned different things.
