Thoughts

We all stumble in many ways.
Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect,
able to keep their whole body in check. - verse 2

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us,
we can turn the whole animal. - verse 3

Or take ships as an example.
Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds,
they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. - verse 4

The first day I started studying this, I had to take a break.
The next day, we happened to go on a sailboat ride.
It was enlightening!

Thank you God!

The past two days, I have spent driving from the west coast towards the east coast in a box truck. The steering wheel is a very small part that steers the whole big vehicle. It's function is similar to that of a rudder. When on the road, it's good to remember that Law is there to help keep people from sin and death. The reason why there are painted lines, signs, lights, policemen, and other such things is for OUR OWN GOOD!

The day after writing this, I got pulled over by a police man for a random security check.

Thank you God for all these things!

Considering wisdom... There are many types of wisdom that are preached.

For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. - verse 16

Does the wisdom you are getting fuel or encourage envy?

Does the wisdom you are getting fuel or encourage selfish ambition?

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving,considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. - verse 17

Is the wisdom pure?

Is the wisdom peace-loving?

Is the wisdom considerate?

Is the wisdom submissive?

Is the wisdom full of mercy?

Is the wisdom full of good fruit?

Is the wisdom impartial and sincere?

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. - verse 18
